Pastor Paul honored for Leadership in Racial Equity

On May 3, 2011, The Saint Paul Foundation, as part of its Facing Race initiative, hosted its fifth annual Ambassador Awards, an open-to-the-public celebration that honors individuals who are committed to ending racism in our community. At the event, Nathaniel Abdul Khaliq and Velma J. Korbel were recognized as award recipients.  Rev. Paul Slack, A. Lori Saroya and Dr. Anton Treuer were recognized as honorable mentions.  The keynote speaker of this year’s event was Mohammad Bilal, a musician, a poet, an alumnus of MTV’s Real World, and a diversity consultant who educates audiences about some of today’s greatest social problems.
